You are invited to PART TWO of the well-received community event, Hairstyles & Conversations series (Barbershop Talk & Salon Talk Series)! After our successful May 23rd event (FULL HOUSE!!), we are re-engaging with the Winnipeg Black community, together under one roof. We are pleased to announce that we are partnering with Black History Manitoba, and we will engage in meaningful dialogue at the Jamaican Association of Manitoba!!!

The event will be on May 27th, from 6 – 9, FREE Community BBQ (Ongoing through the event). We will gather as a collective to explore the foundational themes of trust and vulnerability and to destigmatize mental health conversations in Winnipeg Black communities, normalizing and making them inclusive.

This event marks the wrap-up of our series dedicated to wellness, connection and understanding mental health concerns are our community’s concerns. We have had amazing conversations in both salons and barbershops over the last few months, and we are excited for our final conversation of the project.
